Yesterday’s tragedy at Northern Illinois University was another reminder that stricter legislation on owning a firearm needs to be put in place. Sure, the 2nd amendment has its importance, but we’ve created a society that endorses guns as toothbrushes.When will we learn that criminals are not the ones shooting up our schools and businesses?There are a lot of unbalanced people in this country that are begging for help and unfortunately, we aren’t giving it to them. We’d much rather believe that there is no gray area between good and evil and that people don’t need a helping hand now and again.If everyone shopping in Wal-Mart on a Friday afternoon possessed a gun, do you seriously think it would detour a psychotic person who is already willing to die to make a point or cast their revenge on society?What do you think?
